Seal Team Memorial at Special Operations Command | Virginia Beach, Virginia

WPL had the honor of working for the Naval Special Warfare Development Group in creating a memorial garden for fallen Navy SEALs and other elite U.S. military elite.  The roughly 5,000 square foot garden comprises of an Asian theme complete with ornamental grasses, tropical-looking shrubs, and a Zen-like rock garden.  The rock garden is contained by a colorful planting composition and a winding pathway which leads visitors to a special circular space.  This space is anchored by a large granite memorial wall and a granite kugel ball etched to resemble a globe. The wall lists names of the fallen team members while the globe marks a star in the location where the brave warriors sacrificed their lives in the service of their country.
