CAD Technician
WPL is currently looking to hire a CAD Technician Designer to join our team of Land Surveyors, Landscape Architects and Site Engineers. Ideal Candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in AutoCAD and Revit. This person will create and draft technical details as well as prepare variations of design. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, eager to learn, able to work 40 hours per week M-F between 8 am and 5 pm. Instrument Technician – Survey Crew
WPL is currently looking to hire an Instrument Technician to join our Survey team. The Ideal Candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, must have a valid Driver’s License, and a strong will to work hard. Candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading survey equipment from the company vehicle; must be able to follow verbal and written directions; must be willing to learn about taking land measurements and must communicate effectively with others; must be willing to work outside in the elements on Commercial Sites, Residential Sites, including Waterfront and Beachfront Sites; must be willing to be part of a very important team and work on the Survey Crew. EIT (ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING)
We are in need of a Engineer-in-Training to join our Civil Department in our Virginia Beach office. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment and be willing to work independently when necessary. As an EIT, you will perform a variety of site engineering tasks, supporting various project managers and collaborating with team members. You will receive both on-the-job and formal training and exposure to plan production.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in a similar field
• 1-2 years of applicable work experience strongly preferred
• EI or EIT certification or the ability to quickly obtain certification
• Knowledge of residential drainage design
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation and/or GIS
