PRESS RELEASE: WPL landscape architect, Billy Almond, presented with M. Meade Palmer Medal
Virginia Beach, VA, March 24th, 2023 – It is with great honor we share that WPL landscape architect, William “Billy” D. Almond has been awarded with the M. Meade Palmer Medal for his outstanding contributions to the landscape architecture community.
The M. Meade Palmer medal, the highest achievable award set by The American Society of Landscape Architects, is awarded to an individual who “exemplifies the values, sensibility, and spirit reflected in the life and work of M. Meade Palmer”:
· Devotion to design excellence and the profession of landscape architecture
· Dedication to encouraging and teaching others
· Humility despite significant accomplishment
· A deep respect for nature and context
Suffice to say that Billy’s efforts in achieving and guarding over licensure is something to which all Virginia landscape architects owe a debt of gratitude.
