Here at WPL, we are capable of performing a multitude of surveys, so what type of survey would best fit your needs?
If you need to see where your property exists, then you need a BOUNDARY/MORTGAGE SURVEY. These surveys are very important when purchasing your house, so that you know exactly where your property lines end; they also aid in the titling process of owning a home. This survey is typically used when buying or selling a property.
If you need a comprehensive survey, then you need an ALTA/ACSM SURVEY. ALTA surveys showcase all of the components of other surveys including land parcel maps, improvements of the property, and utilities. The ALTA survey includes the most information, which can be beneficial for a range of needs.
If you need to understand the lay of your land, then you need a TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY. Topographic surveys show where trees, bushes, buildings, elevation, bodies of water, and important land features are located. Topographic surveys are typically used when building/developing or planting further on your property.
If you need to see the dimensions for a preexisting property, then you need a CONSTRUCTION SURVEY. Similar to the topographic survey, the construction survey also shows preexisting structures so that they can be properly noted for further construction.
If you need to separate a large piece of land into smaller parcels, then you need a SUBDIVISION SURVEY. This is how subdivisions get divided into separate parcels ensuring that the land is of equal value and size.
